Books I've read in 2025
It’s been a while since I’ve written anything here, and it’s been a long time since I’ve written about books.
On one of my older websites I liked posting a list of all the books I’ve read in that year (and that I’ve read the years before), because I like saying nice things about things I like.
Now though, it’s been a few years since I’ve done that, mainly because I haven’t read that many books in the last years. So, as a public motivation to myself, I’m bringing back this type of post, hoping that it motivates me to read more books, in a time where it seems more necessary than ever.
Here’s the list, in no particular order:
Madeline Miller's Circe
For some reason, this year I kept stumbling into media around greek mythology, and I love Hades (the game), so this book just fit wellHéctor García and Francesc Miralles's Ikigai
Short book about living long and fulfilling; Will definitely re-read as a motivationHemingway's The Old Man and the Sea
Had this one laying around since a long while, and I'm actually not sure if I read this one the year before. A short classicRaph Koster's A Theory of Fun for Game Design
Since I'm dabling around in Game Dev, this one was recommended often; will definitely re-readRandall Munroe's What if?
Since I'm dabling around in Game Dev, this one was recommended often; will definitely re-readAndy Weir's Artemis
Andy's The Martian is just excellent, so I had his other books on my list since a while, so I'm happy that I finally came around to read this oneAnd I think that’s it already! It’s possible that I missed a few books, because I have the bad habit of not finishing books in one sitting. For this year, I’m trying to keep it up and make reading more of a habit again.
